Things to do
The Hertfordshire way

The Hertfordshire Way long distance footpath passes next to us, which is a 194mile circular route around Hertfordshire. The route is split into 14 legs, with us being near the end of Leg 12, so well located for people wishing to attempt to walk or even run the entire route in one go!
The Henry Moore Foundation
A short (15 minutes) taxi ride away (or a long walk!) lies the Henry Moore foundation in Perry Green. The foundation is a charity with the aim to encourage appreciation of the visual arts – in particular the works of Henry Moore. Your visit to the foundation allows you to walk around the site seeing the large works of art located in the rural setting of Perry Green where Henry Moore lived, and visit the studio. Note: check their website for opening times – the foundation is closed for the winter, though some works of art are visible from the public footpaths.
The River Stort

The river Stort is located just behind us, with attractive walks into Bishop's Stortford, or towards Sawbridgeworth. There are also circular routes to explore, which we can provide details of.
